The Story

Elliot Finley is magnetic, quietly brave, and growing up fast as the only girl among three brothers. On the last day of summer, she wanders into the forest at the end of her unpaved road and pulls a golden key from a shallow river pool — a key that pulses with ancient power.

Strange lights appear. Shadows move between the trees. Crows circle overhead like sentinels. Something in the forest has awakened, and it knows her name. Elliot's suppressed gifts — and the bullying she endures — will draw her and two classmates into dangerous, otherworldly realms.

A Middle Grade/YA Fantasy in 72 chapters — by Pamela M. Hebert.
